En quelques mots

The name de Salins is naturally associated with Guigone, co-founder of the Hospices de Beaune. However, she had several descendants who were also benefactors of the institution, including François de Salins. A priest and Canon of the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame de Beaune, he donated his vineyards of Savigny and Aloxe to the Hôtel-Dieu in 1745.

Dégustation : Our Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru “Cuvée François de Salins” has a beautiful golden color. It reveals a nose of citrus fruits, brioche and flowers. This wine reveals an aromatic palate where the floral, buttery and citrus aromas present on the nose are found. A mineral finish with a good length.

Description

Here, the name Salins does not refer directly to Guigogne de Salins, co-founder of the Hospices, but rather to one of his descendants, François de Salins. A former priest and Canon of the Collegiale Notre-Dame de Beaune, he donated his plots of land in Savigny and Aloxe to the Hôtel-Dieu in 1745. The vines located in the heart of the historic Charlemagne area, planted in 1944 for the most part, face south and southwest.
