Situation géographique et terroir
The Cuvée Roi Soleil is a tribute to Louis XIV. Indeed, the Sun King, accompanied by his Court and his mother, visited the Hôtel-Dieu and granted it a pension and a signature in the guest book. This cuvée is made from the Corton-Renardes vineyard, bequeathed by Charlotte Dumay to the Hospices in 1584. The parcel from which the wine is made was originally planted with Pinot Noir, until the early 2000s, when the vines were uprooted to be replanted with Chardonnay, as is possible on this side of the Corton hill.
