Situation géographique et terroir
Santenay is the last important vineyard of the Côte d’Or towards the South, it is close to Chassagne-Montrachet and produces mostly red wines. The “Beauregard” located to the north of Clos Faubard and Clos des Mouches, to the west of Gravières and to the south of La Comme, is one of the best situated Premiers Crus of Santenay. As its name indicates, the etymology of this magnificent parcel is due to the fact that this climate offers a spectacular view of the Saône plain.
Vinification
Immediately after the harvest, the grapes are pressed in whole bunches in a pneumatic press, then we carry out a static settling of the juice for 24 hours at 12°C. The musts are then put in barrels directly, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, as well as the maturation, are carried out in barrels.
Lightly toasted so-called blonde, 20% new barrels
