Mâcon-Igé "Grand Terroir" 2019

Chardonnay Bottle - 75 cl

Our Mâcon-Igé "Grand Terroir" is made from low lying vines in the commune of Igé, north of the town of Mâcon. The soil is composed of marl and clay on a limestone substratum, hence the minerality often present in the crus of this appellation.

Dégustation : Our Mâcon-Igé "Grand Terroir" offers a perfect harmony between freshness and fruit aromas. Its woody notes show a good ageing potential. On the palate we find intense and well-balanced notes evoking a beautiful vivacity.

Description

The history of Igé is inseparable from that of the hamlet of Domange, whose original parish centre is the church of Saint-Pierre, built around 953 by the monks of Cluny. The vineyards of the Mâcon-Igé appellation adjoin Azé to the north and Verzé to the south, where the landscape widens into a vast elongated basin. Our Mâcon-Igé "Grand Terroir" is made from low lying vines in the commune of Igé, north of the town of Mâcon. The soil is composed of marl and clay on a limestone substratum, hence the minerality often present in the crus of this appellation.

Note de presse

Guide Hachette des Vins
Etoilé⭐️ | sept. 2021
