Chassagne-Montrachet is a beautiful village located south of Beaune, in the extension of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The commune is world-famous for the quality of its white wines.

Dégustation : This wine reveals a remarkable aromatic persistence. On the nose, aromas of dried fruit, stone fruit and white flowers emerge, revealing a very charming bouquet. On the palate, this wine is well-balanced with a nice fatness. The finish is long and perfumed with floral notes.

Description

Chassagne-Montrachet is a beautiful village located south of Beaune, in the extension of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The word Chassagne come from the latin “Cassanea”: oak wood. The commune is world-famous for the quality of its white wines. It was called Chassagne-le-Haut until 1879, when the name was changed to refer to the most famous white wine in the world: Montrachet.

Vinification

Fermentation

Immediately after harvesting, the grapes are pressed in whole bunches in a pneumatic press, and then the juice is statically settled for 24 hours at 12°C. The musts are then put directly into barrels and the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out.
