Description

Renowned the world over for its exceptional Grands Crus, the Vosne-Romanée vineyards also produce top-quality Premiers Crus to rival the most prestigious. Located to the north of Nuits-Saint-Georges, the iron-rich soils provide ideal conditions for Pinot Noir to flourish.

The word ‘Beaux’ in ‘Les Beaux Monts’ has its origins in the pre-Indo-European root BAL, meaning ‘height’. Thus, ‘Beaux Monts’ refers to the altitude at which these plots are located.

Fermentation

The grapes are sorted, de-stemmed and then gently conveyed into the vat on a conveyor belt, without pumping. Before fermentation, we proceed to a cold maceration at 10°C for 4 to 5 days. Vatting lasts between 18 and 20 days, during which we punch down the cap daily. The wine is then put into vats and put into barrels, and the malolactic fermentation is carried out in full.

Wine Enthusiast
94/100 | janv. 2026

Dark cherry dominates the nose, layered with rose petal and fresh earth. The palate is powerful yet lifted by mouthwatering acidity that steadily reveals the wine's depth. Dark plum and violet notes emerge at the core, while rounded tannins extend clove and white pepper through the finish. With its texture and balance, this will show best after 2030+. — Anna-Christina Cabrales
