Côte de Beaune
Santenay 1er Cru "Beaurepaire" 2016
Chardonnay
75 cl
Santenay is the last important vineyard of the Côte d’Or towards the South, it is neighboring Chassagne-Montrachet and produces mostly red wines. The magnificent parcel of Santenay “Beaurepaire” dominates the center of the village and is considered to be one of the very best climates of Santenay 1er Cru. Thanks to a vineyard perfectly exposed from the east to the south, we produce here magnificent Chardonnays, at optimal maturity.
Tasting :
Our Santenay 1er Cru “Beaurepaire” with its brilliant light color reveals a mineral nose. It reveals iodine notes and an elegant woodiness linked to its ageing in barrel. On the palate, this wine is ample and lively, revealing notes of citrus fruit.
Wine & Food Pairing :
Poultry & festive poultry (duck, guinea fowl, turkey), Grilled or roasted fish, Soft cheeses (Brie, Camembert, Comté...)
